According to the Wall Street Journal, Tetris will be hitting the big screen in a new “very big, epic sci-fi movie.”

Threshold Entertainment is no stranger to making movies based on brands, making movie adaptions like 1995's Mortal Combat. CEO Larry Kasanoff spoke on the plans for the film saying “this isn’t a movie with a bunch of lines running around the page. We’re not giving feet to the geometric shapes... We have a story behind ‘Tetris’ which makes it a much more imaginative thing.”

Tell us what you think. Will it be a huge flop or something you might actually enjoy? While you're at it, hit up our game page to play some Tetris.

“No one gives some random 17 year old from New Zealand the opportunity to soundtrack a major motion picture… It’s been very cool and I’m so glad that I’ve had the opportunity.”
